Fifteen teams left the blocks at a busy Hare & Billet tonight, but only one took the Top Prize. It didn't look that way at the interval. End of Round One saw five groups tying for a lead spot - all with 18 points - with "The Clams" graciously taking sixth. How un-shellfish of them. But fears of The World's Most Complicated tiebreak failed to manifest, as a stirring Round Two saw gaps appear and "Jeremy C. Hunt" secure the £50 Bar Tab by a clear 3 points. The bottle of wine prize did need a tie-break, with a thoughtfully-guessed athletics answer giving "The Misfits" the jump on their worthy "Knowledge Quest" rivals. A lively night, decent scores aplenty and deserving winners.
