A well-known name at the top, a newer name closely following them, a team that lived to their name near the bottom... that’s the short and slightly inadequate description of tonight’s quiz at The Hare and Billet, Blackheath.

The Tabasco Fiasco scooped up yet another title and £50 bar tab 1st prize with an excellent 40 points, only two ahead of newcomers Forfar Five (38), and with regulars the Chris Palmer Trio a point further back in third on 37. Seemingly, thanks to nominative determinism, the prize for coming second from bottom of a voucher for a bottle of wine went to a team called... well, Second From Bottom with a still not-at-all bad 28 points.
