There's Nothing Like a Quiz

It was like the World Cup cricket final tonight all over again. Except this time it was Panic at the Quizco battling it out for second-to-last prize, that coveted bottle of wine. And it was The Boozy Legends who won by a convincing three points. Never before have grown men cried over the name 'Arendelle' from Frozen. Never before has Prague Castle caused so much consternation. Never before has the word 'Turducken' lead to anarchic chest-beating and wailing.

But there you go. The Falcon's scenes were dramatic. Angonising. The points were so close at one stage, it was like New Zealand had re-emerged. Ready for another go. Minus the run-outs.

A good quiz really is like a night of sport. There is team spirit. Generosity. Un-generosity. Half points for trying. Quarter points for pity. Yelling. Cheering. Defeated expletives. It's marvellous. And the best part is, it all happens again in a week.
