..A first for me, a cover at The East Hill, and what a welcome it was! A fun quiz and a nice change of pace - with eleven teams battling it out for the coveted £50 bar tab!

It was a close one and came right down to the wire, but in the end, the happy winners were Pheasant Pluckers on a whopping score of 40, with Shoebill Appreciation Society hot on their heels with 39!

With an exciting end to the evening, Car Crash got to play for the jackpot of a £100 bar tab having got the closest answer to the question ‘How many UK number ones did Elvis have’ guessing 20 - the correct answer being 21!!

Not only did they play for the jackpot - they only went and won it picking it at random from a selection of five books!

In a lovely gesture of generosity however, they handed it over to the bar staff for staff drinks! (What babes eh??)

As ever, win or lose, it’s the taking part that counts - and I for one sure had fun on the way today! ;)
