Just a quiz-puppet on a lonely string. Oh, who would ever want to be king?

Charles C

Last night we learned that giraffes used to be known as camelopards; dactylographers study fingerprints; and, sardines are named after Sardinia. A closely packed first half opened up into a sprint for the finish in the second, with "Chumz +3" just missing the bottle of wine but getting the Smarties. They also deciphered quite a tricky 'Amy Winehouse' anagram - kudos to them. A tie-break for the wine saw " Discovery Channel" (who were superb on Eminem music videos) just lost out to "I Like Your Little Beard" (who knew that the flag of Barbados (which itself means The Bearded Ones) has a trident on it.

"The Bargain Punters" just missed out on a podium position but - as ever - showed a tremendous range of knowledge, from the Eurovision Song Contest to Kevin Bacon and from Ellis Island to TripAdvisor. Just ahead of them, "Milkshakes Mean Milkshakes" delivered another superb performance, doing particularly well to get all three tube stations. "Vote Lib Dem" earned silver, getting full marks in the Coldplay - Viva La Vida lyrics question. Winning the bar tab this week, "Hucklebum, Tooting", even knowing that Theresa May as PM *is/was (*delete as appropriate) driven around in a Jaguar. Jackpot re-starts next week. £85 at stake. So much to be won. Come and get it. #onlytheduchyarmshastheanswer
