A full house at The Duchy Arms last night provided a buzzy setting for a rich evening's quizzing. David Guetta, Kopi Luwak coffee and the Crystal Maze all played their part, which saw "United Nations Comedy Club" emerge victorious, with a belting score of 41, just ahead of "Fake Quiz - Sad!" and "Parr Less". It was tight at the top with "Parr T" and "Really Sht Team" only just behind. Teams did well on our 3-letter body part question (jaw, gum, hip, gut, rib) and the cryptic tube stations, with "Better Late Than Pregnant", "Sht Team" and "Zuko Be Goode" each putting in strong performances. Despite only being duos, "It's Quizness Time", "James & Karina" and "Spartan" all did very well (especially on my trusty points-per-person matrix), and so too did "The Angry Cookies", with the latter walking away with the bottle of wine. "Fake Quiz - Sad!" won through to the jackpot round, having got the closest guess to the record number of curtain calls for Pavarotti in one night. 165! Yes, 165 times he came back on stage to bow! But... The money was not won. Jackpot now over £210. Up for grabs next week. Will somebody please win it!!!
