It was without the background distraction of Champions League football, that this week's quiz took place, but this left most of the denizens free to contemplate the quiz in earnest.
Nine teams pitted their respective wits with an early lead taken by all-girl duo And in 1st place! who led at half-time. Some late arrivals made a catch-up team with the '3 mustgetbeers' entering the fray with 'Late & Soggy' and the 'Here for the football, London' also missing the starting whistle.
In the end, it was a close call between 'We've been mugged off by Nina - she's leaving!' and 'The 10 must get beers!', but in the end, there could be only one! They took the £40 bar tab, while the jackpot question went to 'Here for the football, London'.
They had a 1 in 5 chance, but in the end, were unlucky, and the jackpot rolls over once more!
