A very good evening for one team at The Crown & Anchor last night! Four well-matched teams competed for a £50 bar voucher with a bottle of wine for the second to last team.
"The wrong side of quizzick" was the victorious team with a score of 34 points whilst "Damian & the chicks" was the team winning a bottle of wine for being second to last.
After a question relating to the number of curtain calls Pavarotti received at a concert, the team coming nearest to the correct answer was "Damian & the chicks".
This gave the team the chance to nominate one team member to 'Spin the wheel' which meant that the jackpot of £165 was in reach! Not only in reach but the team won it! Well done to "Damian & the chicks" leaving with £165 in cash and a bottle of wine although I suspect the bottle might have been emptied in celebration before the team went home!
