Tonight at The Cherry Tree we had eight amazing teams playing for the prizes and I got to make three of them very happy when I called out the winners. The winners went home with a 50 pound bar tab to spend on their next visit, the second-to-last team was very happy with their free bottle of wine, and the runners-up got to play the jackpot game; 10 cards, higher or lower? As a quiz host, you always hope that the jackpot grows to some fabulous number, but after this team got 8 of their cards right, it was almost heartbreaking to see them fail.
