In Four-Way Playoff, Sodds Beat The Odds
Graeme W
On a damp day of political drama, another epic narrative was played out at The Bohemia’s Tuesday night pub quiz: the first ever four-way tie for 1st in regulation play at venue. A milestone we can all appreciate. After 40 question, The Randells, Comfortably Average, Odd & Sodd, and the wonderfully named Bercow’s Back, Bitches were deadlocked at the top on 36 points apiece. Because of this, to decide the winner, it all came down to a numerical tiebreaker on last year’s US military budget, and in the end it was Odd & Sodd who were closest to the multi-100-billion-dollar answer. For this, the loyal pair of regulars were rewarded with another £50 golden bar tab to add to their collection. Near the other end of the table, another battle was being fought, that of not quite being the worst team of the night, and that honour went to Dug & Pat, who took home a bottle of the house white for their grand old effort of 20 points.
