Tonight’s quiz affair at The Bohemia threw up something that hasn’t happened here in a good while: the tiebreaker. This consists of a single question with a numerical answer, closest to the correct answer wins the top prize.

On this occasion, and on a relatively low-scoring evening, with half-time leaders "Coalition Of Chaos" falling away, it was "Pass Off, Paul" and "The Odd Idioms" who shared top spot after 40 questions, both scoring 32 points. In the ensuing tiebreaker, "The Odd Eejits"’ greater knowledge of the Trans-Siberian railway gave them the edge over "Pass Off, Paul", and won them the £50 bar tab 1st prize. At the other end of the table, the coveted prize for second last of a bottle of wine went to "Sister Sister", who managed to scrape together 19 points.
