Soccer Boys Sock-it to the Opposition!

Andrew P

Reinforcements were brought in by the teams at the Star of the East this week, the brightest minds bringing their cleverest friends and family to take part in the battle of the brains. No doubt each person was carefully selected, not only for their IQ but their ability to work within the team. You could say that it was an exact Science! The periodic table was a hot topic this week, one of the picture questions showing the chemical symbol for lead, a large stone and a connected loop of elastic, which in lateral thinking terms made up 'Heavy Metal Rock Band'. The next question would have had our budding researchers in their 'element', with the question asking how many hydrogen atoms are in a molecule of water. The answer was, of course 'Two', the symbol for water being 'H20'. Finally, if you wanted to talk about good chemistry, we had a wedding photo with husband Alexis Ohanian and his famous (but concealed) wife. The sportiest of our crew served up the correct answer of her being tennis superstar Serena Williams. 15 Boys in a Soccer Team returned to take the top prize, scoring 36 points and Farce Derivatives, another Star of the East favourite, scored 29 with a depleted team and shared a bottle of house white. The Jackpot has now hit triple figures and we're looking at £107.00 next week. You'd be crazy to miss out...
