Number 42, only 5 points short of their Team Name!

Andrew P

With a tough old quiz last week at the Star of the East in Limehouse, one might expect our teams to shy away from this Tuesday’s battle of the brain boxes. Not a bit of it! Our teams are made of stronger stuff, much like a few of the topics in this weeks cheeky, weekly challenge… ‘The Invincibles’ was a nickname bestowed upon the Preston North End football team of 1888-89 as well as Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side. Only our more sport minded teams, however, were able to stick it into the top corner and tell us that this referred to Arsenal’s 2003-2004 season! From The Invincibles to ‘The Incredibles’, our picture question revealed two pairs of animated siblings, one being Elsa and Anna from Frozen and the other being Violet and Dash from that very film, The Incredibles. Finally, we had the ‘Uncreasables’, in reference to the tradename of the protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. Our smart teams didn’t raise an eyebrow, knowing that we were talking about ‘Botox’. #42 came a barnstorming first, scoring 37 points to win £50 towards their food and drink and Tres Corona Cervezas freshened their pallets with a bottle of the red wine, tallying 19.5 points and winning by a tiebreaker. With just two cards to play it was inevitable that the £160.00 Jackpot would be won and newbies Bringing up the Rear took those honours, promising to return and play the best Tuesday night Quiz that Limehouse has to offer...
