The weather was absolutely freezing outside on this frosty autumnal evening in Limehouse but it was rather warm inside, thirteen teams consisting of fifty four players squeezing in and rubbing shoulders to play the best quiz in town! The stamina of the teams was commendable, each approaching the task with vim and vigour- they could've rocked around the clock, which coincidentally was the song by Bill Haley and the Comets! Confidence was high, some great teams turning up to fight it out, they probably thought they were Well 'Ard! Which sounds a little bit like Will Smith's whole first name, Willard... no? Just me, then. When it came to marking, the phrase 'May the odds be ever in your favour' would've been an apt thing to say, many of our contestants knowing that it was a quote from the 2012 film 'The Hunger Games'. Farce Derivatives came back to snaffle the top spot with 39 points and newcomers Made Meek scored a proud 26.5 to win a bottle of house white. In spite of the fierce competition, there was a very happy ending with newcomers The Tortles grabbing the £61 Jackpot after the Birthday boy correctly guessed higher or lower on the five cards!
