In a more intimate night than usual, the Station Hotel saw a healthy influx of newcomers coming out for the quiz. At the end of the first half it was a fairly even match, but by the end it was "The Barflies" who pulled ahead of the pack for a safe win. Winning the bottle of wine for coming second-to-last were newbies "Cosmopolitan Beavertown" with some very clever answers. And even though "Aaaah ... Bestow!" came last, they didn't lose their heart and had a hand at the cash jackpot. Sadly, Ian represented his team proudly, but was rejected at the first turn by a pair of unlucky tens. There's nothing for a pair ... Not in this game!
