A rare thing at the Moretown Belle tonight—a quiz with rather a few sports questions. Despite of appearances (big screens full of scores and pundits and athletic-types) this quiz rarely has more than two or three sporty ones. Tonight, however, a whopping SEVEN: The Manchester United question; the darts question; the most-followed-sports-figure-on-Twitter question; the skydiving question; the snooker question; the Jessica Ennis question; AND the karate question! Phew. There were also a couple about fevers—yellow, scarlett and straight up influenza—hence the title of this post. In the end, The Drowned Rats prevailed, with an impressive 41 points, with the Craic Makers hot on their tails. The bottle of wine went to Two Horse Race, pipping Veggie Chilli Underdogs by a mere half-point. Exciting times!
