After cancelling the quiz a couple times in December due to Christmastime festivities, the Moretown Belle’s Monday night quiz returned in earnest tonight, though with only a small turnout of two teams in a hard fought but friendly head-to-head. The quiz itself had a slightly animalistic bent, with references to baby goats giant salamanders, molluscs, pandas, pythons, and—at a stretch—the Pet Shop Boys. In the end, everyone went home a winner with We’re Here For The Wine failing to live up to their name by winning the quiz, well fellow Moretown regulars the Quizlet bears won £50 from the jackpot pool (as well as their competitors coveted bottle of wine). Hope to see both teams—as well as many others—at some future Monday.
