Tonight’s quiz was seasonally themed, packed with Saint Patrick’s Day goodness. Questions touched on the symbols of Ireland; the year the country finally got post codes; and the date of Saint Patrick’s sad demise. There was even a question about the expected number of pints of Guinness that will be consumed on this year's Saint Patrick’s Day. In the end there was a rather miraculous win for the two-person team, Participation Award, who took the £50 bar tab in a closely fought contest. Elsewhere, representing youth and parenthood simultaneously, the Quizzards came second-to-last and therefore took home a bottle of red. Sadly, once again—yes, again—I was unable to give away any money in the jackpot...meaning the maximum £400 pot is still be up for grabs next week.
