There is a new band of quiz champions at The Hare And Billet, chalking up their first Wednesday night quiz win here, but only just. The just-about-aptly-named Great And Unmatched Wisdom took top billing with an excellent display of knowledge, as their 35 points won them the £50 bar tab first prize. It was by no means a walkover, though, with two very fine performances from Oktobertest in 2nd on 34, and regulars Team Steam in “bronze” position on 33. The reward for managing to scrape home in second last place this evening went to Mighty Ducks, as their modest 21 point total was just enough to bag them the consolation prize of a voucher for a bottle of wine.
