In a quiz that included five coronavirus-themed team names and that was as hotly contested as ever, we learnt: the first Pokemon character was trademarked in 1994; sushi refers to rice; and, Napoleon was just 51 when he died. The bottle of wine went to "Quaranteam" who played an excellent quiz to finish second from bottom, just beating "The Quarantined" and "Prime 29". Scores were stretched out a little from there but the podium was the quiz equivalent of a photo finish, with the top three teams separated by just two points, and several teams just a couple of points off them. Previous winners "85G" earned bronze with a score that might have won in a different week, proving themselves particularly hot property on celebrity identification. Just one point more, in second, came "'COVID'eo Killed The Radio Star" (best team name of the night), who similarly might have come top in another week, while demonstrating excellent film poster knowledge. However, "Bring Back Swine Flu" edged out a one-point lead and won the £40 bar tab. They were especially proficient on the cryptic tube stations. The night didn't finish there, however, as "Fake Quiz! Sad" won through to the jackpot envelopes getting the closest guess to my jackpot question on how long it would take to walk to Mars (4,000 years apparently). Better than that, they chose the correct and went home with the £187. Unbelievable scenes. Jackpot is already at £55 for next week. Come and win it! #onlytheduchyarmshastheanswer
