At The Devonshire Arms last night, the regular Monday evening quiz saw six teams battling it out for the top prize of a £50 bar tab. The teams were made up of a good variety of people including some students, some visitors from Florida, and a two person team, this team having played at the quiz before. Two teams argued over a question about the writer Edgar Alan Poe whose genre was "Mystery" but the teams suggested "Horror" and thought this should be a correct answer. Quizmaster Richard Linton quickly made all the teams aware of the difference between the genres and in the end the scores would not have been affected anyway. Well done to "Gruesome Twosome" the two person team which won the bar tab of £50. Also two bottles of wine were given away to the two teams that were second to last equal with 21 points.
