Cyndi Lauper once sang "Girl's just wanna have quizzes". And WHAT a quiz it was last night a Beer Hawk! Coming up the rear, we have new team WHAT AM I? - who displayed great potential in their inaugural quiz and knew a lot about Bolton Wanderers football club. Then, doing it for the City of Norwich, in ninth place and winning the highly coveted second-to-last-place bottle of wine we have the delightful Amy and Tom of ABANDONMENT ISSUES. YAHHOOO!! Many, congratulations Amy and Tom! Excellent iPod and Foals knowledge. Amy, thanks for being my DJ assistant and Tom, thanks for keeping me on my toes by shouting out mainly wrong answers - much appreciated. Then we have a tie for seventh place: friends of the quiz THE MORGANS, bought their friends, THE FILBERTS, and finished on a very respectable 37. Great cloud knowledge, Jeremy. Sharing seventh place, we have the loves of my life, Dave and Kendra, who this week were SPITBALLIN FOR DAVID'S DEAD DAD. Well done for scoring the best individual point average (and I'm sorry you never win spicy crackers - I agree 'buttstuff' is always funny). Mid-table, we have WE DON'T HAVE CORONAVIRUS COUGH COUGH . Well done for doing so well in the pub quiz and well done for not having Coronavirus. WHAT AN EVENING! In joint forth place, we have two very strong teams: FACT HUNT and THE BASICS. You're both excellent, with or without tables. In bronze position, we have last week's champions, NYE, who always absolutely bring it. And losing out on the top spot by one point, we have the truly amazing Kristian, Dave and Mark of TEAM INEBRIATED (who only dropped one mark in the first round. Holy shiz, these guys are crazy good quizzers). BUT, in first place, and winning the much drooled over £50 bar tab, we have TYSON'S FIST OF FURY! WOOOWWEEEE! Congrats to Anton, Dan, Aaron, Natalie and Harriet. You're truly amazing quizzers, and your team names are always on point. Enjoy your delicious booze!
