'NYE' Remain Undefeated (despite tough competition from the 'Red Hot Chilli Crackers')

As Celine Dion once sang 'Quizzes make my heart go on and on', and what a quiz it was was this week at Beer Hawk! Three new teams (EAST INDIA, THE TWO TWATS and CORONA'S ON ME [COUGH]) all absolutely bossed it in the '2 players on a team' category. George and India of EAST INDIA, and Billy and Adam of THE TWO TWATS, both scored an '11 point per player average'. V. impressive stuff. But not quite as impressive at Emlyn and Danny, who managed to score a '14.5 point per player average' and therefore win the absolutely coveted 'second-to-last booze (in spite the 'lack' of sports questions). Woop woop! Well done chaps! Next up, mid-table, we have our wonderful regulars TEAM 3/5, who are consistently merry and bright (and absolutely OWN the - somewhat neglected this week - spicy cracker round. Well done for being hilarious - I shall never neglect that round again). Then, in bronze medal position, we have your friends and mine, Dave, Kendra and Tom (with lovely new addition, Sophie), who this week were SPITBALLIN 4 RIANNE'S HOLLOW APOLOGY. You bring joy to my heart every week (and isn't that the real quiz?). Then, in first place we had a TIE between two COLOSSAL teams: NYE and RED HOT CHILLI CRACKERS. WOAH! This week, NYE just managed to nab it in our very tense tie-break question. Hard luck RED HOT CHILLI CRACKERS - you're amazing and your Eurthymic's knowledge is second-to-none. Please come back next week, fighting harder and with a more inappropriate team name. But, massive congratulations to our champions NYE who remain absolutely undefeated at Beer Hawk, South Bank. Tate, Anesu and co - you're range of knowledge is extraordinary. Please come back soon and defend your title.
